Langtang valley trekking is situated in the north of Kathmandu. It is one of the most popular trekking areas in Nepal, as the trekking to the area offers a multitude of trekking destinations. Langtang valley lies at the south of the Tibetan border, is sandwiched between the main Himalayan range to the north and a slightly lower range of snowy peaks to the south. Langtang Lirung (7246m) lies to the north; Gang Chhenpo(6388m) and Naya Kanga ri (5846m) lie to the south and Dorje Lakpa(6966m) at the east of the valley.

Langtang valley trekking is mainly to have trek in the remote but the most amazing valley of Langtang region, where you can have an exciting moment at high mountain lakes Gosainkund and the beautiful valley ‘ Helambu’ and you can also visit the Langtang National park and then have a trek to the end of the valley to view wonderful ice flutes of Gyangchempo,Budget Adventure Treks & Expeditions treks frequently makes trip to this area, as it has been one of the demanded and well-loved trekking routes in the country.

Langtang valley trek begins with the drive along the Trisuli River north of Kathmandu, through Trasuli Bazaar; we reach to Dhunche and finally reach at Syabrubensi, a Sherpa village and farmlands of the people. Many villagers are originally from Tibet. Once this route was an important trading route with Tibet, therefore, most of the villagers and peoples here still are involved in trade. On the way of trekking, one can have a trek through Langtang National Park as it is located at the very edge of the Park. We also have chance to see some wild animals and birds. Among them are the monkeys, musk deer, Pika and the national bird of Nepal, the colorful Danphe. We continue our Trekking to Kyangjin Gompa (3,740 m), in between, we cross many rivers along a gorge and pass through oak and rhododendron forests and glacial moraine. After a overnight stay in Gompa, we visit the local yak cheese factory and have a view of the glaciers, which is also a gateway to Tibet and we return back to Syabru village and make a trip to Sing Gompa, a place where the holy lake Gosainkund is situated and we cross the Llaurebena Pass (4610m), and continue south leaving the Langtang region and reach at Helambu valley and subsequently at Chisapani and return back to Kathmandu.

Day 01: Drive to Sybru Bensi (1462meters) by bus 8 hours. Drive from Kathmandu to Syabru Besi which takes about nine hours by bus or Land cruiser depending on group size. You head north out of Kathmandu driving through scenic foothills and ridgeline vistas to Syabru Besi passing through Dhunche. While passing along the road at the bank of Trishuli river you catch a glimpse of Ganesh Himal, terraces and green hills. As you pass through Dhunche you feel as if you are heading towards deep land. At the same time, you notice that the road is still under construction. Overnight at hotel. Day 02: Trek to Lama Hotel (2500meters) 5 hours. Today, the first part of the trail crosses through Bhote Koshi and follows the Langtang Khola. This trail is gradually climbs to Bamboo passing through the Landslide area. Afterwards, your trek ascends gently to Rimche (2400meters) through Bamboo (1960meters) which lies at the bank of Langtang Khola. You can have lunch at this place if you like. And at the end your trail is level to the Lama Hotel. En route you could see red pandas, monkeys and bears if your lucky. Overnight at guesthouse. Day 03: Trek to Langtang Village (3307meters) 5 hours. The trek route follows Gumanechok, Ghoda Tabela literally it means the Horse Stable. After this the trail is slightly gradual and beautiful in the valley with the grazing Yaks. Langtang village is one of the very local and old villages along this trekking route and the view from here is more spectacular as we get closer to mountain. Overnight at guesthouse. Day 04: Trek to Kyanjin Gompa (3798 meters) 4 hours. Height: 3450m Today is a shorter walk but enough for acclimatization. The surroundings are interesting also because of the famous Cheese factory. This beautiful valley in the lap of the Langtang Lirung and otherd around. A place to explore the valley and lots of small peaks to climb. Overnight at guesthouse. Day 05: Kyanjin Gompa exploration day. Today is a day to rest and explore the area. You can visit the monastery and the cheese factory, walk up the moraine to see the spectacular ice faces and tumbling glaciers of Langtang Lirung or ascend Kyangjin Ri (4350meters) which is highest point of this trek, directly behind the village, for a breath-taking panorama of the Langtang peaks. Overnight at guesthouse. Day 06: Trek back to Lama Hotel (2500meters) 5.30 hours. Rejoin the trail to Lama Hotel. Overnight at guesthouse. Day 07: Trek to Sybru Bensi (1462meters) 5 hours. Leaving the mountains behind us our descent takes us to the Sybru Bensi where the trek was start about a week ago. Overnight at guesthouse. Day 08: Drive back to Kathmandu by bus. 8 hours. After breakfast, we drive back to Kathmandu from Sybru Bensi which will take some 9 hours by bus or Land cruiser depending on group size. Overnight at hotel.
